Curious George has been around for a long time, even I remember reading his adventures and stories when I was a kid. In terms of our kids library of book and videos today Curious George is definitely part of the mix along with the other classic children series such as Sesame Street and alike.
In similiar fashion other classic content creators like Sesame Street, Curious George and their publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt have released multiple Curious George theme apps from storybooks to playtime for kids on tablets.
So while one can purchase these apps individually I decided to get our Curious George fix via a bundle on iTunes. The Bundle that we got features 4 Apps:
- Curious About Letters
- Curious About Shapes & Colours
- Curious George's Town
- Draw With Curious George
Let's run through the apps:
Curious About Letters
Curious About Letters is a Alphabet learning app that gives your kids the task of finding and matching Upper and Lower Case letters. They will have the opportunity to help George and the Man with the Yellow Hat in 2 ways:
Explore Letters
Where your kids will be given multiple scenes where letters are hidden around the scene, they then find and match the upper and lower case letters, upon finding each letter they get to learn how to write the letters. Upon completion they get a reward badge.Matching Letters
Is pretty similiar but this time they get to organise the upper and lower case letters in sets.
